Orchids have a large habitat variety. They are the largest plant family in nature. They can be found all over the world. They especially flourish in warm tropical areas. Centuries ago, collectors of these flowers used to trek through jungles and swamps to find new species of this flower so that they could provide them to eager buyers.
It has
been said that orchids are difficult to take care of. However, this is
not the case. If you can take care of a houseplant, you can take care of
an orchid. Like any other plant, an orchid needs water, food, light, and
air. All it takes is a little care and understanding.
There
are four types of orchids that are discussed on this website, according
to growing conditions, they are classified as: epiphytes, lithophytes,
Saprophytes, and terrestrials. On the next page these four types
are briefly discussed and an example is provided to illustrate the type.
